Vintage linen damask tablecloth
This is a well loved linen tablecloth with some marks on it but it is intact and completely usable. It has a repetitive petal pattern on it and measures 204 x 190 cm. An interesting thing about it is that woven into the cloth is the name ‘SS TORY’. It is not unusual to find table linen used on ships and we tried to find out more about the SS Tory, the only information we came up with was for a vessel of the same name which was wrecked in 1841. Maybe someone better informed than us would know more? We would love to find out.
